How UK hearing aid prices are published
NHS hearing aids are free for eligible patients after a GP referral and an NHS hearing assessment. Private hearing aids are priced by provider and technology tier, and providers publish those prices in different ways:
- A tier ladder. Boots Hearingcare prints six named tiers on its own price page. See Boots hearing aid prices for each tier, read from that page and dated.
- A single entry figure. Specsavers publishes one starting figure for its advance range. See Specsavers hearing aid prices.
- Quote on enquiry. Some providers show no price on the pages we read and quote after a hearing test. The hearing aids hub says which.
We do not print a "typical" private range for hearing aids. The tiers are different products, and a range spanning them describes no single purchase.
