Treatcompare publishes patient reviews to help users make informed decisions about private healthcare. This policy describes how reviews are moderated, how providers can respond, and how complaints are handled.
Patient reviews
Treatcompare publishes patient reviews to help users make informed decisions. Reviews are moderated before publication.
Review moderation criteria
Reviews are published if they:
- Relate to a genuine patient experience with a listed provider
- Do not contain defamatory, abusive, or discriminatory language
- Do not include personal information of staff or other patients
- Are not commercially motivated (e.g. written by competitors or paid reviewers)
Reviews are rejected if they:
- Cannot be linked to a genuine experience
- Contain threats, hate speech, or illegal content
- Are duplicates of reviews posted elsewhere for incentive
- Are submitted by the provider about themselves

Providers can:
- Request review of any review they believe is unfair or inaccurate
- Submit a factual response to a published review (published alongside the review)
- Request removal of reviews that are factually false (with evidence)
- Contact data@treatcompare.com for review disputes
