Anti-wrinkle injections cost 35% more in Central London than the North of England
Analysis of 990 UK clinics by Treatcompare reveals significant regional variation in anti-wrinkle injection pricing, with a 2.5x gap between the cheapest and most expensive providers for the same treatment.

Key findings
“We found that patients in Central London pay a median of £310 for a standard three-area anti-wrinkle treatment — 35% more than patients in the North of England, where the same treatment costs £230. Even within the same city, prices can vary by a factor of 2.5x depending on the clinic. Consumers have very little visibility of what a fair price looks like, and that is the gap this data is intended to fill.”

Analysis
The national median price for a single-area anti-wrinkle treatment is £170, rising to £220 for two areas and £270 for three areas.
Regional variation is significant. Central London clinics charge a median of £195 for one area — 30% more than the North (£150). For three areas, the gap widens to 35%: £310 in Central London versus £230 in the North.
Within each region, price variation is substantial. Nationally, the cheapest 5% of clinics charge £100 or less for one area, while the most expensive 5% charge £250 or more — a 2.5x difference for the same treatment.
This variation is driven by the brand of botulinum toxin used (Allergan Botox, Azzalure, or Bocouture), practitioner qualifications, clinic overheads, and what is included in the price (consultation, follow-up review, top-up).
Methodology
- 990 clinics analysed across six UK regions
- Data collected from clinic websites by Treatcompare in March 2026
- Prices are advertised starting prices for standard botulinum toxin treatments for 1, 2, and 3 standard facial areas (forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet)
- Regions defined using ONS (Office for National Statistics) geography
- Median reported (not mean) to reduce distortion from outlier pricing
- Range is 5th–95th percentile, excluding the most extreme 10% of prices
- Clinics included only if all three tiers were listed, prices were monotonic, and extraction confidence was at least 0.6
- Standard female dosing only — male treatments, advanced areas, and premium brand surcharges excluded
- Prices may vary by provider; this data reflects advertised pricing, not final treatment cost
